KUNDAN MEENA NECKLACE
The necklace is a fine example of traditional Mughal jewellery, characterised by gold workmanship, the drop-shaped pendants are embellished with rubies and diamonds, the central one is decorated with blue enamels and floral details. The back of the necklace features polychrome enamel work, with delicate and colourful motifs. This type of workmanship, which includes stone setting and enamels, is known as Kundan Meena, a traditional Indian technique that combines the art of gold and enamels. Small pearls and green pendant stones complete the design, adding movement and elegance.
